WHAT’S HAPPENING:
This past month, our nation has experienced catastrophic wildfires, torrential rainfall from intensifying hurricanes and tropical storms, surges in Red Tide along the Gulf coast, and continuous record-breaking temperatures. Climate change is a real concern that impacts all of us around the globe.

At Legacy Vacation Resorts, we believe in taking action to create positive change that leaves the planet in a better condition for future generations. While our company has taken significant strides as part of our ongoing climate commitment, it’s time for us as individuals to step up.

Scientists agree that we must act right now to slow or stop the worst impacts of climate change. We have the technology we need and a small window to make necessary changes. We just need to convince our lawmakers to act NOW.

At the end of this month, U.S. lawmakers will sit down to discuss the budget reconciliation bill. We are calling our senators and representatives, urging them to take bold, climate action with a bill that will include:

• Creating a Clean Electricity Payment Program that cuts pollution & modernizes our grids
• Directing 40% of funding to frontline communities, working towards climate justice
• Ending subsidies for fossil fuel corporations
• Starting a Civilian Climate Corps program that puts people to work and centers around nature-based solutions
